Because the appearance of the USB charging cable and the USB data cable is basically the same, this is often the case. Sometimes we buy a cable at the roadside stand to connect the mobile phone to the computer, but no matter how the operation is performed, the computer cannot be connected. This is why?
In fact, the reason is this: both the data line and the charging line use the USB interface, and there are generally four lines, but the two lines of the power supply VCC and GND are used when charging, and the data line is used VCC , GND and two communication lines.
The role of each wire of the USB data cable:
Red wire: the positive pole of the power supply (the identification on the wiring is: +5V or VCC)
White line: negative voltage data line (identified as: Data- or USB Port -)
Green line: positive voltage data line (identified as: Data+ or USB Port +)
Black wire: ground (marked as: GROUND or GND).
Of course, the color of the wire can only be seen when the outer rubber of the data cable or charging cable is peeled off.

The data line has four lines in the USB interface and the power line has only two lines in the USB line. Therefore, the mobile phone data line can be used as a power line, but the power line generally cannot be used as a data line. Because in order to save costs, basically the two wires in the middle of the charging cable are omitted, that is, the read data line and the write data line (green line and white line) are omitted, which means that there is no data reading and writing ability, only Can be charged. This is why the data cable can be charged, and the charging cable may not be able to be used as a data cable.
