1. Cable selection
According to the requirements of GB50217-2018 "Power Engineering Cable Design Standard", the annual minimum temperature is below -15℃, according to the requirements of low temperature conditions and insulation type. Generally, cross-linked polyethylene, polyethylene, cold-resistant rubber insulated and sheathed cables are selected. If customers choose PVC insulated and sheathed cables, they need to increase cold resistance requirements and adopt cold-resistant PVC insulation and sheaths. The minimum ambient temperature is lower than -25°C, and a suitable cable must be designed according to the user's actual application environment and the technology center.
2. Installation and laying
According to the requirements of G50168-2006 "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Cable Lines of Electrical Installation Engineering", when laying cables, the average temperature within 24h before laying and the temperature of the laying site should not be lower than 0℃: when the temperature is lower than 0C, it should be Take heating measures. Especially for large-sized cables, it is not suitable to set up when the environment is below 0℃.
If conditions do not permit, when cables must be laid in a low-temperature environment, it is recommended that users make full preparations before laying the cables. After the cable laying path has passed the inspection and acceptance and the laying equipment and personnel are ready, the cables to be laid should be placed in a heat preservation environment for at least 24 hours, and the ambient temperature should be kept above 15°C. Then choose to lay the cable during the noon time when the weather is fine, and try to ensure that the cable laying work is completed within 2 hours after the cable leaves the heat preservation environment. Handle with care during the cable laying process. When laying manually, it is not allowed to throw the cable directly from the shoulder to the ground, and use a rabbit to break the cable sheath. Cables exposed directly to the external severe cold environment should be protected against cold and warm. After the cable is laid, carefully check the outer sheath of the cable, and repair it in time if there is any abnormality.
