1.2 This poweredusb 12V to open end cable is 1 in to 2 out Y splitter type, there is a built-in PCB splitter in the cable, Y part includes 2 pcs cable with stripped and tinned ends, one cable of Y part is for power supply, this one wire has 2 core wire with red and black color, red for VCC+, black for VCC- or GND. Another one cable is for data transmission, it is 4 core + foil + braided cable, the connection of this one is red for VCC, green for D+, white for D-,black for GND. the 2 cables is easy to connect the PCBA or others device. Why do we need to use poweredusb instead of normal USB?
One of the limitations of standard USB is the amount of +5V current available to supply attached peripherals. Normally, 500mA is available at each host port and each powered external hub port. This amount of current is sufficient for most PC type peripherals like mice and keyboards. When the power requirements exceed the 500mA limitation, external peripherals require the use of an external power supply (brick) to supply the necessary power requirements.
