This cable only has 2 core pure copper wire for power charging. The rated power of this micro usb dc cable is 5V 2A, that means the cable may be destroied if the power more than 5V 2 A. Since this cable's connection is directly between DC female and mciro usb male without any othe resistors or other connections inside for the data lines, it cannot work with iPhone, iPod or iPad or another device that expects some sort of resistance on the D+ and D- connections. This cable is suitable for mobile phone, tablet and 5V output power adapter.
